Soon, another ship will be converted to diesel electric propulsion with a Volvo Penta D8MG Stage-V generator. This hybrid solution enables the conventional engine to operate within a favourable speed range, resulting in lower fuel consumption, reduced emissions (Stage-V) and optimum efficiency.
