Repairs or overhaul services, what’s it gonna be?

As a result, the overall performance of the engine will decline. That is exactly why we will completely disassemble the engine during overhaul services and carefully check all parts. All worn parts will be replaced, and broken components will be fixed. After that, your Volvo Penta engine will seem like new again and you will once again enjoy your boat to the fullest.

Overhauling your Volvo Penta engine in daily practice
A full overhaul means we generally do the following:
- Complete disassembly of the engine.
- Clean all parts.
- Visual inspection of parts and components for hairline cracks and damage.
- Checking the crankshaft and camshaft. Process if necessary.
- Hone cylinders or replace individual ones
- Renew pistons with springs and pin.
- Overhaul and process cylinder head / exchange cylinder head(s)
- Turbocharger overhaul / exchange unit.
- Renew all bearings.
- Renew and adjust the injectors to the correct injection pressure / exchange injectors.
- Overhaul and adjust fuel pump.
- Replace fuel lift pump.
- Overhaul or renew the lube oil pump, depending on engine type.
- Overhaul or completely replace circulation and outboard pump.
- Overhaul or replace starter and alternator
- Replacing the thermostats.
- Renewing all filters and gaskets/seals.
- Mount engine and components
- Fill up the engine with coolant.
- Fit new v-belts and hoses
- Test run and start up the engine

These old engines are completely disassembled, cleaned and thoroughly inspected on arrival at the factory. As a result, they will last for years to come. During overhaul services, only original and factory remanufactured parts are used. Therefore, you may take a full warranty for granted.
