Air filters
Every minute the engine is running, the air filter filters thousands of liters of air, trapping dust and small dirt particles that would otherwise quickly lead to premature engine wear.
That is why Genuine Volvo Penta filters have to meet such strict specifications.
They are extensively tested in combination with the engines for which they are designed.
The filter paper used is carefully selected based on filter capacity and the sensitivity to the moisture to which engines are exposed.
When using a foreign brand of filter, there is a chance that dirt particles will penetrate through the filter paper or through poorly glued gaskets, resulting in increased engine wear.
A filter area that is too small or paper that is folded too tightly together also leads to reduced engine performance and shorter filter replacement time.
A cheap foreign brand filter can therefore turn out to be expensive!
