The Future is now…
The Volvo Penta IPS900E (up to 515 kW) will be available from the end of 2025. Subsequently, all drivelines in the Volvo Penta IPS range will be electrified, with power outputs ranging from 220 kW to 1,1 MW per driveline – increasing to 4,5 MW for quad installations.
In this new, fully electric offering, the electric motor is directly coupled to the Volvo Penta IPS driveline and available in Twin, Triple or Quad configuration.
This opens up opportunities for a wider range of vessels, both commercial and leisure, to benefit from the key advantages of the Volvo Penta IPS system – such as forward-facing propulsion, excellent manoeuvrability and the unique Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) system, with premium features such as joystick steering, Dynamic Positioning System, Autopilot and Assisted Docking.
Today, Volvo Penta, with the help of dedicated external partners, also provides a complete “Helm to Prop” concept, which means a single point of contact for your entire driveline.
